FacultyProf. Reyer GERLAGH
Dr. Reyer Gerlagh is currently working as associate professor and deputy head of the department Economics and Technology (E&T) at the Institute for Environmental Studies of the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 1999 he received his PhD in economics. In 2001, he received the Vernieuwingsimpuls , a prestigious grant of € 650,000 by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) for his innovative research. He has published in many international journals, and as a co-promotor he has guided his PhD students to various published papers. For January-June 2006, he has been invited by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters to Oslo to come to the Centre of Advanced Studies to join a research group on the interaction between environmental policy and technology. His recent research interests include the International Dimension of Environmental Policy , Concepts of Sustainability , Climate Economics with a focus on energy transitions, Natural Resources, Corruption and Economic Growth , and Endogenous Technological Change and Environmental Policy.
This activity is part of the ESS RESECON project, that has received funding from the European Community's Sixth Framework Programme, Marie Curie Actions - Human Resources and Mobility.
