Broadening Climate Discussions: The Linkage of Climate Change to Other Policy Areas

FEEM Climate Policy Workshops

Since 1992 the FEEM Climate Policy Workshops have aimed at providing a stimulating scenario for analysis and discussions on climate policy issues. The workshop series offers academics, policy makers and stake holders the opportunity to meet each other for exchanging and debating current topics in this field of research.

Workshop activities include the presentation of papers, discussions and round tables, with the objective of presenting the latest and most brilliant academic results and findings at an international level on climate policy issues. During these two-day workshops, a group of approximately eighty people meet together in a spirit of economic investigation, research, analysis and collaboration. In conformity with its philosophy, which includes the dissemination of the most recent and up-to-date knowledge and thinking, participation in FEEM Climate Policy workshops is traditionally an open event and free of charge.

The FEEM Climate Policy Workshops are generally biennial events. However, this year's workshop will take place after a three year time-span owing to the co-operation of other partners in the organisation of the events. The 6th FEEM Climate Policy Workshop will be held in Venice from 9-11 June 2004. The theme of this year's workshop is "Broadening Climate Discussions: The Linkage of Climate Change to Other Policy Areas". It is jointly organised with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in co-operation with the Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti, and will gather participants in Venice for the 6th FEEM Workshop on Climate Policy as well as the XXII MIT Global Change Forum.
