Climate

Banks are open to the public from 8.30 to 13.00 from Monday to Friday. They generally open for an hour in the afternoon after lunch (times can vary).

The central post office is open from 8.30 to 18.30 Monday to Saturday. It is found at Rialto with entrances from Calle del Fontego and Salizada del Fontego.
 

Tipping

Tips are generally included in prices and bills, so tipping is not considered mandatory. However, if the service received is considered satisfactory, especially in restaurants, a tip is often left.

From Piazzale Roma (Bus Terminal) and the Train Station there are water buses that stop all around Venice travelling along the Grand Canal and island periphery. Water buses also stop at the Lido and adjacent islands. From Piazzale Roma or the Train Station it will take 30 minutes to get to St.Mark's Square (Price €3,50 one way).
