Logistical InformationVenueThe EAERE-FEEM-VIU Summer School is to be held at the Venice International University (VIU) on the Island of San Servolo. The restoration work of the monumental complex on the Island of San Servolo started a few years ago and maintains the architectural qualities and natural landscape of the setting. Following completion of the first part of restoration in the spring of 1997, the Venice International University (VIU) has had access to use facilities on the island for conferences and seminar courses. The first semester of the academic year 1997/98 marked the beginning of VIU's undergraduate activities along with the complete restoration of the monumental complex and a 250 bed residential hall. All successive renovation was completed and the island was inaugurated and opened to the public in March 2004.
VIU Campus Computer facilities - An advanced PC laboratory with 19 PCs is located on the second floor of VIU main building. It is open to all students and professors, 24 hours a day. All PCs are connected to the internet, and students can access online Venetian library catalogues, Duke-on-line and other online information resources. Telephone Facilities - Telephone in room is usable buying a payment card at the VIU reception open 24 hours a day. Photocopying - photocopying facilities are avaiable buying a recharging card at the VIU front office. Washing and drying facilities are also available.
