Erwin Bulte is Professor of Development Economics at Wageningen University, and Professor of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, at Tilburg University. He is also Advisor to the Agricultural and Development Economics Division (ESA) at the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO). He is associate editor of Environment and Development Economics, Natural Resource Modeling, and Environmental & Resource Economics. His main research interests are sustainable and efficient management of natural resources, institutional economics, the resource curse and "paleoeconomics".

This activity is part of the ESS RESECON project, that has received funding from the European Community's Sixth Framework Programme, Marie Curie Actions - Human Resources and Mobility.
